Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN and is an SportsCenter News Anchor. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first position working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami that gave her the chance to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. It was the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg hired her after this as the sports reporter. After 2009, the news reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Her stories covered immigration, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. The family moved into Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. In the course of a few months, her father split from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in 2006. She stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was given the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was a senior in high school with an idea of what she thought her future would be like, visited Mount Union University in order to find out what she could get out of the college. She loved the campus. It also gave her the program she was interested in. She graduated from high school and enrolled into media school at the University. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in the class, established an ongoing friendship with her. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
